I see Bearcreek is marketing a HB, synthetic stock, 10/22 clone of their own for $250. I have a half built Ruger myself I need to get back to. I’m way “over scoping” it for antics like you describe. I still need to get that Ruger trigger.

Chapstick in one of his “actual” books, a compilation of magazine articles he wrote, told of backyard fun. They were drinking and shooting 9mm casings at ridiculous ranges. Figured it was scaled to a man’s torso at around 1200 yds. Still, good clean fun with airguns. The Brits are really into airguns, but limited by their govt. on power levels.
