Yes, Daisy's, Red Ryders, literally all air-guns long or short. Reclassifying them as “Imitation Firearms”. Not really citing issues of late, just because they are governed by, and rife with, loonie socialists. The Obama/Biden administration did not go away, it’s just operating on a different and more productive venue.
Muslims can still carry “infidel” slicers under their white skirts and its protected as a religious right. But oh, don’t target practice in the back yard!
Confess, do you still own a BB gun? Not pellet, BB?

My favorite one from the late 60’s is the Daisy 95. I have two, an original and later 1980’s version with safety added. They have wood buttstocks and plastic snabel forends. Racy! The newer gun fell and broke off the front sight. It now sports one from a Marlin M25M, JB Welded on perfectly.
I used to shoot dragon flies on the wing, minnows, wood bees, and the hanging “stems” of gum balls in the tree. The balls are too easy.
I think Jim said he had one of those arm pinching M25 Daisy pumps. Engineering around stupidity was frowned upon back in the old days. Lol

With a Daisy Powerline 1200 CO2 repeater pistol. There is a lever under a short forend that you push forward to cock the action and feed a BB. Fresh gas cartridge in it and he was trying to get it to feed and fire. It seems he accomplished both! He slipped, stuck the finger in front of the bore, pow!
He recounted it to feeling as being hit in the finger with a 3lb. hammer, while resting it on concrete. Then it shifted more towards being squeezed in a vice, but throbbing. At the hospital it was a bit of outpatient surgery with a local and tetanus shot. The steel copper wash BB had centered the bone but did not break it. It was resting against it and half flattened! A BB half flattened. I figured that impossible. Hence the hammer blow sensation. He was not happy and tried to blame everything, but the one that caused the accident. It went without saying.
One of my greatest BB gun shots was with a Crossman 454 CO2 DA pistol. I shot a large blackbird eating trash 15 yds. away THROUGH my Granny’s screen window, DRT. I had to bend the wires carefully back straight. Nobody ever knew. Another time a friend and I sat side by side on an old wood bridge over the creek, dangling our feet. We had placed a 12 ga. 3” buckshot shell in the muddy clay bank, in a snake hole or something. We took turns with a Red Ryder potting at the shell primer. I don’t remember whose turn it even was but after a good while BOOM! The empty hull went right between our heads! To our surprise the wad and buckshot were neatly still in the bank position. At firing the payload stayed put and it was the plastic hull that shot! A lesson learned, not such a slick idea after all.

Geographically speaking, much of New York State is a slice of Americana. The problem is that the power and voting block is in the NYC metro area as well as the lower Hudson Valley Region.
Maine has a similar problem. In my younger days,Maine was a rather solid conservative state. Over time many people from NY,NJ,Massachusetts and the like moved into the 1st Congressional district. That is southern Maine and the sea coast. They have the population thus sway the rest of the state.
I'm going to do some serious soul searching in the near future. Maine isn't what it used to be.
I thought about the next rainy day at work

I might buy a bag of those plastic little army man figures, take 3-4 BB guns to work. At lunch, the shop boys could have a little competition! Those little green army men at 75 ft. are scale to real men at around 500 yds! Of course a BB to scale is like shooting bowling balls. But it sounds like fun.
I have a Daisy 99 target competition BB smooth bore with real good peep sights. A ringer.
