topics. That being the price of gas. It was $4.55 a gallon yesterday. Colleen called me a few minutes ago from the shop with the update. As of this morning it is $4.89. Flagstaff is a tourist trap. We are the main road to the Grand Canyon and the service stations normally jack the price of gas up late Thursday or early Friday for those on the way to the Canyon. Today being Wednesday it will probably hit $5 a gallon by the weekend. It will surprise me if it doesn't.

along the Gulf coast of Alabama, regular (87) was $3.49. Up near I-10, it was $3.69/gallon. And right as the summer tourist season kicks in.........
Yeah, I just paid $3.26. Too bad it won’t hold more.

It cost me $50 in fuel to bush-hog about 9 acres. O'l 53 yr. old David Brown 885 did better than me.

$5 a gallon. Then when it drops to ONLY $4.50 a gallon we get all excited and look for something in the garage that we can put some more gas in while it's so cheap.
The last time I was in Africa John stopped at one of the gas station/restaurant,/ furniture stor/ tire shop combos and got some gas (no kidding. It is not unusual to see a big store that has 4 or 5 different businesses crammed into one building. .One of the businesses was a hamburger joint. I ordered a sandwich while about 5 feet from me on the other side of a glass a guy was changing a tire.) The gas there was around $11 per liter. I don't remember what it was per gallon as the pump didn't measure gas in the gallon. and I am too lazy to figure it out.

That's about $41 a gallon.
When we lived in Mozambique, the standard price was about $7.50 a gallon for gas, $5.60 or so for diesel. It's gone up since I moved back. I never saw gas over $12 a gallon while I was there.
And no, it did not stop people from driving.
