When I lived in Riverton a while back I often I'd go poking around the Sinks Canyon -Loop Road area southwest of Lander Wyoming.

If I ever won POWERBALL, I'd try to buy a piece of property that borders the area. It is my idea of heaven, so to speak.

Anyways. I would like to consider myself an experienced hunter but almost all of that centers on the northeastern USA. The biome, climate and game are different.

When I was walking along the talus slopes of the Upper Popo Agie Middle Fork area, I found something that kind of befuddled me but also made me rethink things.

As you can see on that image, there is a slot between the ledges. I found in some brush at the base of this what appears to be a buck rub. Hmm. I never thought I'd see something like that in such an oddball place. But it makes sense since I did see mule deer in and around these spots.

I do hope that I can return one day in the near future.
