The .405 Graneder (?) is an attempt to get .405 Winchester ballistics from the 1895 Marlin (336) chassis. It’s the .45/70 necked to .411”.

The .405 JES is a modern .40-65 Win. of sorts. A .444 case tapered to use .405 Win. type bullets. Some gunsmiths are “re-bore” working existing .30-30 cal. guns for around $300! But there is some risk there.

I saved this photo of a simple .35-30 Wn. Only because I have that same 280 gr. bullet mold. I’m not sure modern .358 twist rates can handle that long bullet intended for .35 Win., .358 Norma, etc. it needs a meplat hand filed on the bullet tip, little bigger than a LG rifle primer. For use in tube mags.
