went up to the shop today, the first time in months. We have noodle running the shop when Colleen is gone to one of her dog shows. She is in Dallas or near there this weekend at a Jack Russell show. I haven't been to the shop for a year now and it's hard getting used to all the questions and such. I got out of the hospital around a year ago this weekend and it is hard getting back in the swing. Just getting used to carrying a gun again is going to take some time. I must have had a dozen people ask where is my gun.
Just getting used to all the new guns is going to take some time. The showcases were crammed with new guns. The shelves are full of new rifles. Very few new shotguns but lots of hunting rifles. New lever guns from Rossi that look real nice with nice wood stock and forend. They had a nice one back in the late 80s and it looks like they are bring it back. Hammerli is back in the varmint business with a nice little rifle. They are going to have to touch up some rough spots on it.
S&W is back in the 22 Magnum pistol business and Noodle said they are super smooth and go out the door as quick as they come in. Lots of new brands of pistols. Very few new revolvers. New shotguns are scarce but it just isn't the time of year for shotguns.
I am going to try to get up to the shop a couple of times a week but I am just not up to it yet. Three hours today and I was worn out.
I will try to keep you up on the new items as I get to handle one. If any of you have a question about one of the new guns, let me know and I will see what I can do. Colleen is keeping me up on all the new stuff. But just word of mouth is not enough.
