For years I lived where I could shoot aerial targets with full power loads. I miss that.

With Mike Venturino drawing and shooting bowling pins. We holstered after each shot and then drew again. Mike missed the first one. I missed the last one.

Shooting the white buffalo at the Whittington Center with my Model 94 .30-30. 1123 yards. I used a 190 gr. cast bullet that started out at 1900+ fps. Time of flight seemed really long. Took me a lot of shots to hit the buffalo, but I did get it.

I have a 1896 Krag with 29” barrel….

The sights are so fine. The front looks like the blade on your pocket knife. I can’t imagine using them in combat, out for distance I think it would work. I’d love to try that one on the buffalo.

Have you ever played with a .30/40 Krag?

Yes. My Dad had one when I was about 14.

I really liked that rifle. The magazine seemed so cool. I liked it better than the British .303 that I had. I am not sure what he did with it. I think he traded it off a few years later.
