This is fairly common here where we rate the severity of winter by how often we have to run the A/C.

Less than a week ago it was 8, today 65!

But it will get into the high 30's tonight. I found that 1" thick blocks about 3-4' below drop lamps will absorb a lot of heat energy. Sort of like all those folks showing heating a room with a flower pot and a candle. (it does work)

I use it as a warming station for babies. The 12" blocks only cost $1.50-$2 each and come in handy.

I am about ready to give up on January.

The days have been in the mid 50s to 70. The nights are rough and necessary to bring in the brass monkeys. Temps at zero to minus 10 have been normal but that is the only thing that reminds me of January.
There is still hope as we still have February and a couple of weeks in March for some snow.
