Boar's Tusk Wyoming.
I do apologize for the image quality. It was the best my old iPhone could do.
A number of my co-workers were a bit puzzled with my behavior in a way. Every weekend spent living in Wyoming meant a day of exploration ( that means driving around, explore, small game and varmint hunt)
One wintry day I took a drive south of Riverton to the Red Desert area north of Rock Springs. This is one of the largest arid environments in North America and is home to some unique species. Frank, a retired oil field worker, told me that there are elk in that area with messed up antlers. Due to the lack of trees, they really don't rub off the velvet and so antlers are very odd shaped.
I had to make a journey in of all things, A Subaru Wilderness. Ok. No jokes about my auto choice but that AWD system did very well on the muddy roads of the Red Desert.
Here is a formation that is rather famous called the Boar's Tusk.

My only disappointment on this trip was that I did not see any wildlife. I did have a ton of fun and did get into a hairy situation where I thought I was going to get stuck but I managed to pull out of the red mud.
I hope you all enjoy.
