This local fellow, 98 yrs. old. Cool old guy, a former engineer for American Airlines. His body is getting pretty run down, but his mind is crystal clear. He lives by himself, drives himself, but has a lady that comes in and cleans some for him. He outlived his wife and does have grown children, that live out of state. He keeps a nice place.

He was telling how a week or so ago he got a letter from American Airlines about his retirement. He retired at age 60, they wanted to know if he was still alive! It seemed incredible to them he was still cashing his checks. Somone in accounting got worried Somalis might have diverted the funds. Lol He replied saying he was still here and enjoying the checks. They should plan on him sticking around at least a bit longer. He has been drawing retirement checks for many years longer than he ever worked for them! HA!

Great story.

The way things are going these days I'm surprised the letter wasn't to advise him that his retirement had expired. ;-)
