Another forgotten "Reeder" custom

This was more subdued compared to some. But it was commissioned by ZZ Top drummer Frank Beard. Beard was a founding member and the last to grow a righteous beard, even given his namesake! Of late he had a foot/ankle injury and had to lay off a while, but he had re-joined. They are still touring after bassist Dusty Hill passed away. That was what he wanted them to do.

There was once a rumor he (Frank Beard) might come to a HHC. But so far he was unable to get the scheduling sorted.

This custom for the famous musician, and Gary's link to the radio/music industry in the past, are very interesting.

Gary told me long ago, noting the new digital age, take lots of photos! Now days a new problem is storing, cataloging, and maintaining them as tech changes. Floppy’s, CD’s, HHD’s, and the ability to recall them.

I have lots of pics, scattered.

Lov’n this one for sure!

a short 3 3/4"barrel, a 5 1/2" and a 7 1/2" barrel. We ended up building 3 guns for each member of ZZ Top, but Beard was the one that got it all started. That was Z Z TOP'S LOGO on the barrel and front sight..
