I would go with my custom Encore in 410 GNR with 210 grain bullet on the ram with the broomed horn. If the range was just across the hiway my custom G-2 in 41 GNR and 210- grain bullet and again the old battered up horn ram. That gun with the 41 GNR and 170 grain bullet has taken 9 Bison, 3 Bull Elk, couple of 600 lb Yak,several Watusi, and various other like size critters.
Only 1 of the 9 Bison took more than 1 round and of the 3 Bull Elk all 3 were one shot each. The Watusi and Yak were all one shot kills except the big red Watusi who took 3 or 4 rounds. He was in the corn field and moving. I looked up my field notes and I have taken 9 Bison, not 11. The two odd ones were big black shaggy Yaks. Sorry. Of those 9 Bison, 2 were on a friend's Ranch in Florida, 2 were taken on the Y.O. on the Celebrity Handgun hunt and the others on the HHC.
It's funny as I would have to ask WB (Scotty)what other animals as he got a lot of these critters on video.
