work on all Reeder customs that could be used in the distant future for all the collectors. One can see where the prices are headed! Maybe trends and innovations explored by decade. The two books and some three odd load manuals are good bits of information. The pre-logs to cartridges in the load manuals are a good start. I think there could be room for a good book on the history and insights. I know there are tons of pictures too to support Reeder Customs if one can just find them.

Still, we are blessed by the digital age and availability of photos and info. It used to be paper books, phone calls, and these things called letters.

I do a search on the browser sometimes and see even my forum photos!

gun writer used to down his raging beast. There were so many thru the years that I don't deserve and remember but a few. The covers of various magazine were what I remember the most. Here on my desk I have the 2002 Guns Illustrated and we got the front and back covers in color. On the front cover is three of our single action hunting revolvers, the African Hunter in 500 Linebaugh, The Ultimate 41 in 41 GNR and Alaskan Hunter in 454.
The back cover also in color were another 3 of our custom guns. They were the 7 1/2" Trail Rider in 45 Long Colt, the 4 1/2" Doc Holliday also in 45 Long Colt, and the 3rd is our 3 1/2"Tombstone Classic also in 45 Long Colt. Each of these 3 cowboy guns are high polished stainless steel, full engraved with custom grips of white pearl.
It has been covers like these that I feel so privileged to have.
The huge Standard Catalog of Firearms, 2011 edition, is probably the one I am most thankful for. The cover has a full custom Ruger #1 in an African caliber along with a Broom Handle Mauser that was in terrible condition when we got it. I found a pic of a custom Broomhandle that was given to some general in World War 2. I copied the engraving that was on that presentation gun and copied it exactly with elephant ivory grips.
Every year the Standard Catalog of Guns gives one of the custom gun makers a color page in the middle of the book. There are normally 16 full color pages of various guns, from revolvers, to semi autos, and single shot handguns, to custom rifles and shotguns. I was really blessed on this one as they gave us all 16 color pages.
So Scotty, you will have your work cut out for you finding all the color pages of our custom guns. God has been so good to Reeder Custom Guns thru the years and I am extremely thankful.

Here's the cover.

cartridge in a 610 GNR. And the Ruger #1 package is the standard model. The deluxe had a gold or silver animal on the sideplate. But Jean, you've been with us for years and we wouldn't still be here if it weren't for the Misfits like you. And I thank you.
