I have been playing with these “rifled” inserts in my 20 ga. Savage. I first ordered a pair of .357’s. I thought I’d mark the base with a sharpie and regulate them by spinning them in the chamber to find the POA that was closest. That was just too much! It would kill a deer at 20 yds. easily though.

I traded one of the .357 for a .45 ACP. If I note the barrel used, left or right, and focus on regulating one “caliber” or the other, that should be easier. The things are addictive at $30 each. They also had 9mm, .40, 10mm, .44 Mag. and .45 Colt for the 20 ga. The 9mm for .410 shotgun is also tempting! No .327 for some reason.

But it’s cheap fun. And I’m certain useful on some level, just enjoying the search.

Looks interesting! Can you tell me where I can order them for my 20 gauge o/u. I am only shooting 20 gauge when I shoot trap as the 12 beets me up and hurts my jaw. I turned 87 yesterday.

Sure! There is a link below. They have a 12/20 ga. Insert to

I’ve used them. Work great to shoot 20 out of a heavier 12 ga. You just poke the empties out with your fingers.

Be certain what you are getting! They have smooth bore versions for $25-27 and the rifled versions are a little higher $29-30. They are stainless steel and well made.

Click in the webpage menu to the left “caliber adapters” then 12, 20, or other. I think the .308 Win. To .32 ACP would be fun practice with my REM. 700 HB.
