Complaining to my optometrist (who is a shooter) about my increasing difficulties shooting iron sights, he simply smiled and said “optics”. You really need optics, on EVERYTHING. If I was trying for reasonable precision shooting. Most of my customs I have preemptively made the arrangements for possibility. Some I just can’t do it.

My carry guns I’ve never ventured there, until now. Boy they can be expensive. Retail on the new electronic sight alone is about the value of the used platform. Not even counting mods to stock slides or adapter plates. Half-as-much again. I put a pencil to it, finding a deal, it proved more economical to just buy one this way. This is the one I chose. I’m really warming up to it. It has something, maybe not conventional “soul” like a vintage piece, perhaps it’s just character. It’s total purpose is to make me look and perform better. It really works. The ergonomics are spot on, every part, inside and outside has been massaged, adjusted, or replaced with something deemed better. To make me better. I do not seem to pull left as I do on the original guns. I sort of feel like an old geezer with a hot little number on my arm with daddy issues. But for the improvements, I’m enjoying it right now.
