A tad off topic. Prejudice and resentments.

I am almost reticent in posting this as it could be a lightning rod topic.

Scott's post with the comment " Injun Country" made me think about some of my own experiences in different parts of our nation.

I am thinking of how does one resolve the issue of let us say mistrust of a group of people?

Just an FYI, I made some significant moves in my life.

Born and raised in Massachusetts. Lived for a short time in both Rhode Island and Connecticut( but within 20 miles of my birthplace)

After the passing of my mother a few years ago I made the decision to sell most of everything and conduct a transfer to Wind River in Riverton Wyoming.

At first I was excited and elated but then the realities of living right on the edge of the second largest reservation in the USA hit home. I did forget to lock my auto and it was ransacked. So that crawled up my ... Anyways.

After a year I did another transfer to Maine where I continue to work and have a small off grid cabin on about 40 acres of land.

All places have pros and cons. Wyoming was really nice in that many people were warm and welcoming after they got to know me a tad. Before Covid, people in Wyoming were very friendly and welcoming. Due to the lockdowns and remote work , many people moved to the region and drove up the price of real estate and I suspect there was a clash of cultures.

I do miss many things but the negatives where I lived outweighed the positives.

Maine has some good points but it is not the Maine of my youth. It has become more liberal and there are a lot of "alphabet" people in along the coast and bigger towns.

Sorry for the rambling but I sometimes have a few resentful thoughs regarding a group of people. I know it sounds terrible but I would not mind gleaning some wisdom.

Thank you for any replies and I do understand if this post is removed being not so gun related.

Although I do miss shooting prairie dogs and the adventure of hunting at high altitude ( 9000 feet or so)

If you care to talk more in private

That's a one-time alias so that if the bots pick it up I can kill it. I will answer with my regular email.

on this issue. I do thank you because the last thing I want to do is offend anyone on this venue.

I doubt you will. Good people on here.

With the same thoughts, although they have expanded recently.

Keep in mind…this is no surprise toJESUS CHRIST. We must stay focused on HIM.
