Toying with the idea of getting one as a “truck gun,” or general purpose bang around rifle. Probably 308. Anyone have any experience with these? Thanks.
I have so many long guns I can't manage another

but I looked at them. I'd love to justify buying one. Every review I found all claimed under 1 MOA accuracy right out of the box. Lots of features standard. Muzzle breaks and spiral fluted barrels. They have made magazine improvements and stock changes. The looks are an acquired taste but I like them. I can't remember a .308 anything that didn't really shoot fantastic either.
I have an early one in .300 AAC that has a spindly stock and funky rotary magazine. But boy does it shoot. I got it to shoot suppressed.
They seem to enjoy a good reputation

and everything I’ve read on-line is positive. I may talk myself into one before Christmas.
Have one in '06 and 450 BM

The Go Wild versions. Most accurate rifles out of the box I have shot. '06 did 1/2" groups with Rem 150gr Core-Lokt out of the box and the 450 BM did 1" groups with Hornady Black 250gr. I bought both on a whim and they were hugely discounted. The 450 BM I put a compact 4x Burris I had laying around and still did MOA. I got that one for playing with my heavy .452 bullets I have laying around that I am not shooting in my revolvers. YMMV but a lot of people like em. Watch some YT videos on reviews on what the guns seem to like for factory ammo. I also picked up a CVA Cascade in 308 at almost 50% off that I have yet to take to the range. Just cant decide which scope to use.

doing some shooting. There was a fellow shooter with a new Ruger American Gen 2. I thought it was something semi custom.
The fluting on the action and the granite pebble finish on the stock was striking. It looked like a high end rifle. I believe the man had one in 223.
I handled it and it fit well. That is all I can say about it. I do believe that if I needed a good bolt action rifle it would be in the top three of the list,.
