Into the harbor. Property taxes! Still my figurative financial rape was more gentile than others. One misfit from up north told of an inherited small home demanding some $12k per year in tax just to keep it! Goodness, how does granny manage? It always throws shade on my HHC experience. Locally 95% of the revenues go toward public schools. That doesn’t help much.

I figure in the Midwest it’s not that much better.

Granny does not manage. She is getting kicked off

her own property.

That is the sad fact of life in much of the northeast. Many people who have retired or were forced to retire had to sell their primary homes due to the ever-increasing property tax rates.

Many on a fixed income cannot keep up. They are forced to downsize or move out of the area.

WB I hate to break the news to ya but,

In my humble opinion the only remaining good land deals or property in general exist only in the heartland, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma That being said, its going fast.

Yeah for the price of a new truck, here in AR

You can still buy 15-20 acres of woods. It might not be in a convenient place or have all utilities, but you can still get you a piece of land.
