Somehow I ended up with (2) of each version. Encores, Old Contenders, and G2's. I'm not sure why. The idea was to have one and a bunch of barrels. They got me. But I DO have lots of barrels! My favorite is the G2, baby Encore.
If you explore the origins of the original Contender they were very compact, light, and extremely powerful. I think the .30 Herrett may have been the first Wildcat I heard of that went mainstream. It is a fantastic round. When the .357 Herrett came out in the Super 14" things began to go a different direction. An old school TC rig is still a neat package.
