rifle forend will fit the large diameter full bull barrels? The ML forend is too small diameter barrel channel without extensive modding and has those funky screws too.

The flex tech looks larger and somewhat flimsy, forgiving, to begin. If it's close I don't mind hogging it out to custom fit.

12 ga. forends are CRAZY priced right now. Like $300-400 for the forend only! I could buy a complete gun and sell the unneeded pieces cheaper. Good grief, some folks are just looney. I've found no good info on the net. One expert says the ML is the same as the 12 ga. channel. That is NOT true. Plus there is a 500x209, 20 ga., 12 ga, and 12 ga. ML forend, all with specific factory part numbers.

I think I’ll go ahead and try the set. Even if it needs

Some adjustment, no problem. I get a 1” dowel and staple sandpaper to it. I can use may lathe or elbow grease to hog out the channel. On a custom you expect a little effort anyway. I’m just going to a weaver type base and some cheap red dot sight I have lying about. That should keep it from cookie cutter’in someone’s eye socket.

I’ve used the Lee 500 gr. with a case full of trail boss to good effect. If you want to clap your shoulder blades with the .500 Nitro you can switch to Reloader 22. You can get all the fun you want in a short time!

I’d also love to find a good .204 Ruger long bull barrel. I think they were at least 26”. Man would it zip! A .223 size (only less blast) that shoots flatter than a .22-250! The .22-250 always seemed to have such terrible muzzle blast! I even had a pistol once. I’d rather be kicked than yelled at.
