"unload" the round. Pulling the bullet right out of the case, a mess. I'm certain there are other procedures for finding the correct throat depth. It can change with bullet ojive, so the max seating out is unique to the bullet and chamber throat. Give yourself some room for error. No on the hunt surprises.
