Far superior to the .308 if any distance is involved. Light recoil and shoot clean through about anything. Yes, you can make ammo from .308.

Just bought the Colt Trooper. Only item left in the estate is the Kimber. Cable out and phone at the shop so keep patient until tomorrow when hopefully all will be restored. :-P

Paid $275 on a $80 week salary. My SBH .44 was $175. Both were nice but used with boxes. Sadly I made a poor trade to a friend for cash and a Dakota .45 Colt SAA. He still has the Trooper, that was 1980! He was headed out all Duded up for Saturday night once when a huge 8-pt Whitetail ran across the road in front of him. The MKIII and one of my 148 gr. Full wadcutters pulled the rug out on a perfect 50 yd. neck shot. The slug was just under the hide on the off side, flared out on the end with a little bit of bone. He’d never let go of that gun.
