First, I am reading THE NEW TESTAMENT IN MODERN ENGLISH translated by J. B. Phillips. I have used the Phillips translation over the years but never took time to read it cover to cover. I am enjoying his work.

I have read many other translations including the King James Version, The New International Version, The New American Standard Bible, The Passion Translation, The Mirror Bible, The Amplified Bible, The Complete Jewish Bible, The Message, Rotherham's Emphasized Bible, The Living Bible, and a few others. 60 years of reading the Bible has allowed me to explore quite a bit.

Also I am reading THE SHACK by Wm. Paul Young ... again. I have read it more than a couple times and find that every time I read through it .. a year or two apart ... I discover something new and quite often something that I need.

I read this today: (in this part of the book Jesus is speaking to main character)
All I want from you is to trust me with what little you can, and grow in loving people around you with the same love I share with you. It's not your job to change them. You are free to love without an agenda. That's what I want you to learn.

I know for me, that would be something good for me to learn.
