signing up for the HHC Oct 2-5. The HHC is my favorite chance to get out and see some friends that I only see once a year if that. The last time I checked we had around 25 folks signed up, hopefully more by now.
Alcorn called me yesterday and said he has nearly a dozen relatives that are planning on making the HHC.
I was hoping to have a few new custom guns to show you at the HHC but with all the shortages it is hard just filling the orders we already have. The shortage of barrel blanks is worse now than I have ever seen. And with my health problem that doesn't help anything. Thank the Lord we have a couple of good machinists plus Colleen is selling the custom guns as quick as we can get them finished. I have mainly been the main engraver 2 days a week but that doesn't really help get guns that are back ordered finished and to the customer. If we order 25 or 30 internal parts for our custom guns we do good to get 3 or 4 parts. Everything else gets back ordered.
Mostly we work on store guns that we have the parts for, and that keeps us getting 4 or 5 new custom guns finished each week. I just finished engraving a new El Diablo that is a 5 shot 45 Long Colt. That one won't last long.
That's it for today. And I am serious about our HHC. If the good Lord gives me the OK I will be there no matter what and I really am looking forward to seeing some of you Misfits.
