It’s a Southern thing, 30 more days of deer season

With something besides a muzzleloader. It HAS to be a straight wall round repeater or single shot. Gun stores are going nuts with all the “new” straight wall guns literally flying off the shelves. Shots around here are rarely over 100 yds and the straight walls do fine, have since 1870.

The .350 Legend rules. But for a strange reason. During COVID it was the only caliber overflowing on dealer shelves. Few knew what it was or had guns for it. Guys remember that! It’s the high pick now.

I’ve wanted a repeater AR for years for target and hunting. I don’t want my $3 each .458 SOCOM brass flying off into the poison ivy. I’m not interested the repeater AR for tactical, but practical. Plus it’s only half the gun, inexpensive, superb accuracy, able to be suppressed easily. So configured it would be utterly reliable as well. Here in the south the woods are going to be filled, early in season, with all sorts of straight-wall cartridge hunters. Whitetails be warned.

Dave Manson’s proprietary .50 straight wall for the short action Remington 700. HHC circa 2019? Based on the .375 UM case. A real blaster.
