the Sechrist school and most are older homes, no new construction. The school has about a foot of mud in the parking lot, as do several other building in that area. The houses are about 6 feet lower than the hwy so they get all the run off. Most of the houses on that side of the road are really messed up with 3 to 4 feet of mud up against the side o the house and a lot of water damage inside. The main problem is the city has front end loaders out there trying to get as much mud away from the houses but on the other side of the road is a steel hillside and the rain comes down that hillside in sheets and right across the road in 6 to 8 inches of water and down the hill to the houses. Plus we are expecting rain for another week or two. So it is not looking good for the folks that live in that area.
