In the early 1960s Elmer Keith reported on a torture test between a Ruger Super Blackhawk and a Smith & Wesson Model 29. The Ruger blew the Smith stretched. Now having said this I would never subject any of my Smith & Wesson 44 Magnum loads I use in the Ruger Super Blackhawk.
