The conditions were perfect for the animals. No hunting pressure in 2020, record rainfall in the desert, very ample grass and browse. I went over thinking all my shots would be under 100 yards. Boy was that a mistake. The shots started at 200 and went up from there. That’s why you see the rifle in most of the pics. The bird was the exception. That stalk should have been on Sports Center. We shot that ostrich on the run, hence the long furrow!
