It's too convenient. As you noted it happens EVERY time they try to push an agenda. It's more than the media conjuring up a random story on the narrative.

I see how it is used. It conveys "being suddenly made aware of a new fact or idea". Although liberals don't use facts. They have what they call "alternative facts". Facts are facts, immovable. Yet there are people that are believing their own crazy. Selling the idea that noting is absolute and everything is negotiable depending on the application. What we used to call situational ethics. They just whitewashed it.
If you re-read the bible where Satin was attempting to "tempt" Christ, you can see some of the same twisting and mind bending of reality. Sell him something that was already His.

"Woke" comes straight out of Black Liberation Theology .... which is Marxism wearing a christian robe. Communism passed off as a version of Christianity. The term itself started with black slang, as in "I was sleeping but now I'm woke." It's heading into darkness.
