When I was working at LSU in Alexandria, LA years ago the Charlie Daniels tour bus stopped one Sunday morning to let Charlie Daniels and his band play golf on our on campus golf course. I found him and everyone in his band to be very nice and friendly. Just kind of a bunch of good old boys. I enjoyed talking to them before and after they played.
