build 1 or 2 experimental guns to see if the public likes the new gun. Sometimes they fly, sometimes they don't. Apparently the fellow that bought the first gun a few months back didn't care for the gun as he dumped it or traded it to Cabelas. At the same time I put the second one in the showcase at the shop and marked it sold just to see what the response was to the gun. Everything was positive so we decided to go with the new series change. That was the gun we ran last Saturday and the one Ron Rogalsky bought.

Just like a lot of other companies that build a concept item to see if it works. If no good response then they drop the whole idea. The SHOT show is mostly for concept guns. If they get a lot of orders then they build the gun, if not then they quietly drop it and never show it again.

So there were 2 prototype Ultimate 45s done in the new 5 shot cylinder, ribbed barrel. They look a lot alike but are different guns.
