field with 25 being a maintenance millwright and 15 a maintenance super. Never wanted anything to do with the managers job...cause I liked being on the floor solving production machinery problems and installing equipment. Besides, it takes a special person to want to be in a position where you just can't come out a winner. You either spend too much money or not enough, there is no middle ground. The average career of a maintenance manager within 95% of companies is about 3-4 years for a reason. I would hazard a guess that in those 40 years at 2 large companies I worked for, I had at least 15 if not more maintenance managers. My hat is off to you Lonnie.
