This 150lb boar was shot with the 401 GNR- 200gr XTP at 1900 fps, the hog dropped in it's tracks.You see the shot placement, no autopsy/bullet recovery done.But performance was very good, shot was only 50 yards.
I have shot many 10MM -180gr and 200gr Nosler and Hornady XTP's into test medium over the years and the Nosler bullets ALWAYS retain more weight( close to 100%) and the Hornady ALWAYS penetrates a little deeper, simply because the Nosler expands and does not loose any jacket material and the Hornady XTP peels away (ie: looses some of the jacket material) and that allows the bullet to continue to penetrate a little farther.
