I see the need for a dedicated neck reaming die is to not only hold the case but also to limit and control depth. Most importantly it has a wall to hold the brass against to cut the other side. If you don't have it you risk simply belling the brass with a reamer and not actually cutting.

I managed a way to play with these, reducing wall thickness from 0.011 to 0.009" which is what I wanted. My lips are sealed as to my technique. 9 + 9 = 18 which is what I can work with in thousandths, adding it to my bullet diameter.
