I have the same set up for a Ruger Blackhawk that I carried all over Texas on a trip, and it worked, but there is too much leather around the barrel making me think I am printing when I sit. Otherwise that worked well as well. The 57 lays flatter because of the ejection rod, but both could work and not that slow out of holster.... find With the cylinder at the beltline it sits comfortably most of the time.
